Athletic programs hit by NCAA penalties

Abstract:
Seven Sacramento State athletic programs will be penalized according to a Academic Progress Rate report recently released by the NCAA.



The number of different programs penalized was the most of any Division I school in the country, resulting in scholarship reductions in the respective programs. ...

in-depth coverage in Wednesday's print edition... why? Who cares about the athletic programs on campus? The only people that care of the athletes themselves.

All the teams penalized (except for one) are men's. Interesting how the women's teams at Sac State do better academically AND in their respective sports.
