Professor Wang is very correct, the economic downturn is drastically effecting the state of California. There is less sales tax revenue coming in and because of foreclosures, there is less property tax revenue coming in to local governments. During this tough budgetary times when there is less money to compete for at the state level, this is why we need the experience of Mayor Heather Fargo at the helm of Sacramento. Her experience in dealing with the state and federal government when it comes to getting money to help people dealing with forclosures, flood control issues or trying to get more federal tax dollars for law enforcement will be crucial. For Kevin Johnson to blame the Mayor for all the economic woes of the city is simply just trying to pander for votes on a bait and switch.
