You're right - why have any headlines at all?

Idiot. Makes me sad I go to school with these kids. Subheads are used when a kicker, like "A Paranormal Activity," is used. It gives the reader knowledge of what the story is about. It is not meant to be a surprise. It was a very well-written lead but what's it about until like the fourth graph??
