Back to the old 'Grindhouse'

Abstract:
Grindhouse films were the cheaply-made exploitation films of the 1970s. Directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino have both frequently tipped their hats to the grindhouse era in several of their films. Now they have joined forces to pay a complete tribute to trash cinema with "Grindhouse," a double feature that lovingly recreates the experience for contemporary audiences. ...

I disagree I thought the Rodriguez film was just too much in fact I thought about leaving afterwards but the whole fake trailer kept me going and I am so glad I did because the Tarantino flick was pure greatness! He is the master at dialogue! I have to say the missing reel was such a reminder of the old days I actually remember that stuff. GREAT MOVIE and even Greater was DEATHPROOF!

Saw "Grindhouse" over the weekend with my 16 year old and his friends. This reviewer caught the point. My kids weren't sure what was up with all the strange 70"s era film extras ( I loved it), but my Son says he can't wait to see "Machete", when the boys make "Grindhouse II" next year. I want more and will buy the DVD when it comes out.
