Abstract:
What appears as an abandoned building during the day; pulsates as a hot, thriving dance club during the night. Azukar Lounge, located on J Street, nestled between 16th and 17th St., opened in January 2007 and it hasn't slowed down since....

I hate Azukar. I drove for more than an hour to get there. Then i realized that the policy of the club sucks. when they were checking me before going in, I had a mini perfume in my pocket. They took it away from me. they said it could be a narcotic.I was wearing a jacket and hopped to find a place to leave it for a fee. They did not. I wanted to go to my car to leave the jacket and they said... if you leave, your are out. so i ended up holding my jacket all night and did not even want to dance. the place was hotter than shit. but they do have a fan by the entrance where it is cool. not inside though. then a girl said she also had to trow away his perfume. and a guy dancing by the bar next to the restroom holding a beer had a bad time too. the security guy took away the beer and put it on the bar because he said "people are walking by and you can cause and accident" all this happened the first time I visited the club. and i am not going back, ever. the club's stupid policy made me had such a bad time...not recommended unless you want to take this crap.
