This is great that state schools are able to pull money from their savings accounts to fund the student's Cal grants. However, you missed what are happening with private schools. I work at the financial aid office at Biola University and because we don't have the money to supply the student's with Cal Grants despite the late budgets, students are suffering! It is quite unfortunate that many of my friends, including me are unable to take money out of their accounts to buy books, make rent, let alone eat! Our office wishes so much that we could help students, but as a private school we lack the funding. Our school cannot take the chance of funding Cal grants, because if for some reason Cal grants did not come, then Biola would be in serious trouble.
Thank you for reading, I just wanted some people to know what is happening to private schools because of the late budget.
