Abstract: Oh-bama. I sat there with you on Tuesday with millions of Americans, our eyes filled with tears as you finally were crowned Miss Teen USA. Or, wait, president-elect. But doesn't it feel like that? A pageant?...
You do know that Obama received 52% of the popular vote. This means that there are more like 140,000,000 people who didn't vote for him. Oh, and thanks for your optimistic view of America. I'm sure that will help Obama during his presidency.
I voted for Obama, not because I think he's a symbol of hope or whatever. I just happen to agree with his principles.
It's nice to be optimistic about the future, but we should be careful not to look at the world through rose-colored glasses. Obama will definitely not be perfect and there's more to him (good and bad) than what have been projected to us during the election.
