With a thunderous bang, the jets of the Navy's Blue Angels could be heard zooming over the Sacramento State campus last weekend. The Angels were in the air for their annual show held at Mather Air Force Base. Before the event Lt. Commander Paul Brantuas was available to answer questions. (0) comments
Spring break is a time to put down the pen, turn off the laptop and enjoy yourself. While some Sacramento State students prefer to have beach sand in their toes, others have volunteered to do a river clean-up and work on house projects. The Community Engagement Center of Sac State, previously known as Office of Community Collaboration, is having its Alternative Break-Spring 2008 from March 31 through April 4. (0) comments
Experimentation is good. Haven't we always heard that? Mason Wong is creating something different in Sacramento's dining and drinking experience. In a sea of chain restaurants and overpriced comfort food, Wong is bringing a fresh dining experience with the possibility of a "no cover" night of dancing attached to it. (0) comments
1. How did you get into photography? "High school photo class. I took a picture of my cat on a couch in my room, and my photo teacher put it on the wall in the class. It just excited me more than anything. Dan, Sharmon and the rest of the staff have kept me going; there's a great atmosphere in the department. (0) comments
Java Lounge definitely lives up to the "lounge" part of its name. There's a huge, orange couch and several red chairs-all from Ikea-where customers can lounge away. There are also chairs and tables outside where customers can drink coffee and watch traffic go by-or get a good view of Washington Mutual across the street. (0) comments

With spring break only three weeks away many students are getting ready to shed those winter layers and head to warmer destinations. Spray tanning and crash dieting are considered by some as a necessity to get ready for bikini season, but they don't have to be. (1) comment
Living off campus comes with a lot of responsibility. Unfortunately, not many students know how to protect themselves when they decide to rent their own place. There are things to think about like renter's insurance, an alarm system, location and roommates. (0) comments
With the state of our global warming and air pollution, it seems that the more we can do to reduce our impact on the environment, the better. One of the ways that we can do this is through carpooling. A lot of people carpool with coworkers or people they go to school with, but some choose complete strangers. (1) comment
All the hype about Dr. Seuss' "Horton Hears a Who," turned out to be true. The movie is unbelievably charming and funny. The movie is about an elephant named Horton (voice of Jim Carey) that discovers a world called Whoville. Whoville is actually just a tiny speck on a clover, but Horton can hear the mayor (voice of Steve Carell) because of his excellent hearing ability. (1) comment
Choosing a suitable man should be like shopping for a used car - you wouldn't buy a used vehicle without knowing something about the car's past. At least that's what Carfax likes to tell us. But what about Datefax, a simple printout that gives a descriptive detail of a potential date's past? This printout would include a list of all past relationships with details as to why they broke up, track records in terms of how they treated past girlfriends and everyone's favorite detail: sexual past.
