Hornets softball sweep Aggies in double header, 1-0, 5-4

A little home cooking was what the Sac State Hornet Softball team needed as they defeated the UC Davis Aggies in the first game of a double-header with a thrilling walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning at Shea Field. The Hornet softball team made it a clean sweep Wednesday defeating the U.C. Davis Aggies 5 to 4 in the second game of a double header at Shea Stadium. Track ready for outdoor season

Indoor season was just a warmup for the outdoor season

Sacramento State has turned into a track and field powerhouse in the Big Sky Conference. In 2007 and 2008, the team won three of the four men's and women's championships and will be looking to add to that total this season. (0) comments

There's plenty to be said about Alex Rodriguez these days. The 33-year-old Yankee third-baseman has made headlines nation-wide for weeks because of his recent tie with steroids. Before this recent development, he was fronting tabloids because of a fling with Madonna. It poses an interesting question. Is this an innocent ball player trapped in unwanted lime light, or is he a firefly unable to resist the glow of fame? (0) comments

Men's season ends 2-27 overall record

The Sacramento State men's basketball team finished the season with a 2-27 overall record, with only one win in the Big Sky Conference. However, the team's record does not tell the whole story. In a season which began with only four returning players, and 12 players without any Division I experience, the Hornets led by first-year Head Coach Brian Katz were faced with challenges that few teams in the Big Sky can relate to. Win or Go Home

Griffin may be Kings' next hope

Win or Go Home

Ladies and gentleman, your Sacramento Kings will most likely finish the season with the worst record in the National Basketball Association. No, I'm not a Lakers fan at all, but I'm just keeping it real. With the way the Kings are playing now, they should stop worrying about the present (this season) and focus on the future, and who may be the future of the Kings? Oklahoma Sooners' power forward Blake Griffin. (0) comments
