Staying on top of your graduation to-do list

May is here, and that means that it is time again for graduation. But before you get ready to walk, there are things that must be done, and a few other things that are just for fun and for the sake of memories. Graduation means the end of schooling and heading into the job market, and finding a job that you both went to school for and love can be nerve-wracking. (0) comments

Eric Hutchinson's lyrics are well written and understandable. The music he creates with his acoustic guitar is infectious-it'll make you want to air guitar while listening to his album "Sounds Like This." The album is groovy and kind of sounds like the blues, but will definitely put you in a happy mood with the mellow strumming of Hutchinson's guitar. (0) comments

College Humor's website remains a destination for funny - catering to college students across the nation. Jakeandamir.com is a website that spun out of the offices of College Humor, presenting its hysterical videos chronicling the relationship between Jake Hurwitz, 22, and Amir Blumenfeld, 25. The band Elbow has been around for a while, 17 years to be exact. "The Seldom Seen Kid" is the band's newest album. I have not heard any of their other work but I found this CD to be very thoughtful and slow. (0) comments

Most Sacramento State students have grown up with some form of the Japanese culture seeping into their lives, unknowingly or not. "The Ninja Turtles," "Shogun" and the classic California sushi roll are all familiar to the average non-Japanese student. (0) comments

Barista doubles as author

Sacramento State junior and author Kacey Kuebler has sold approximately 500 copies of her first book, "The Forest Singer: Earth Magic," this semester. The book, which is the first in a trilogy, was released Jan. 8 and can be purchased on Amazon's website, her publisher BookSearch's website and Border's website. (0) comments
